devlog #5 major content push towards next fest

I've made the first steps to flesh out the environment of the house this month leading up to the next fest. The submission deadline is the 25th August, which mean's I have little over a month to take the game into a polished demo.

I modelled and rigged the characters, using rigify addon on blender and base mesh from public avaliable assets, with the exception of clara, which I had retopologised from a high poly sculpt of her face. I am not sure if I really needed to do that, but I figured if I am going to add in characters and have them move in the game, I needed to know the full operation from start to finished. So I tried my hands on each part of the process.

The only real concern I had during prototyping is the limited playtest I had been able to gather from the fans of the indie puzzle detective genre, 29 people had downloaded the demo to date, I have done upto 7 playtest sessions from friends and family, it's not a lot of data to go off, but the recent playtest sessions tells me the game is ready for polish and just need more design decisions around the accessibility side.

If anyone have had tried the development demo, please let me know what you think!

The music problem is somewhat solved, until I can allocate budget for composed tracks, I am going to work with Licensed AI generated soundtracks for now alongside free creative common zero tracks available online. I know it's not what people want to hear, but it's the limited resource I am working with.
